Minister of Higher Education Dr Khalid Al-Anqari said Wednesday that expansions at universities in various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are primarily aimed at attracting the youth who have joined universities in the neighboring countries and who are keen on completion of their studies. "These expansions of the Universities will allure these students to complete their higher studies inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to accomplish their academic pursuits and goals," he said. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said numerous programs which have been introduced in some private universities abroad are not at the set standards. "In view of this, the Ministry of Higher Education in consultations with the concerned authorities, have made an in-depth study and follow up of these programs. In fact, the Ministry has successfully classified those universities which are not up to the academic standards and recommended the students to refrain from joining them." --MORE
