Qatar's Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifah Al Thani opened here today the 7th Doha Natural Gas Conference. In an augural speech, the Qatari Emir said that his country has become the largest exporter of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in the world in a period of more than a decade, noting that Qatari gas industry has achieved a high degree of integration, starting from the production and reaching to receiving stations. He pointed out that the booming of energy sector, particularly natural gas, requires huge investments in all stages of its production, processing, liquefaction and export.
