A man wearing an explosives-laden vest blew himself up outside a police recruitment center in eastern Baghdad Sunday, killing at least 11 people, CNN reported. The victims comprised of five police officers, three traffic police officers and three recruits, according to the country's Interior Ministry. The man detonated the explosives while in the midst of recruits who had gathered outside a police academy on Palestine Street, a ministry official said. Officials said 16 people were wounded in the blast.
