Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) started the 110th Ordinary Session of meetings here today at the GCC General Secretariat. The Chairman of the current session; the Minister responsible for Foreign Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, opened the session pointing out success of the Economic, developmental and Economic Arab Summit in Kuwait. Minister Bin Alawi underscored the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud during this summit for the Arab leaders to adopt the methodology of understanding and conciliation between Arab states to preserve the best interests of the Arab nation. The Omani Foreign Minister lauded position of the GCC leaders which confirms the outstanding role played by GCC in establishing stability, security, and development in the Arab region. He presented the agenda and said that he is certain that their detailed deliberations will help materialize a common view on all the issues at hand. Then, the ministers held a closed-door session.
