Commerce & Industry Minister receives Canadian Agriculture Minister

Commerce and Industry Minister Abdullah bin Ahmed Zainal received here today Canadian Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board Gerry Ritz and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of enhancing trade relations between the two friendly countries.
The two sides signed a minutes between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Canada regarding the requirements for lifting the embargo imposed by the Kingdom on exporting beef products from Canada.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
The volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached SR 10147 million in 2007. The value of exports reached SR 6563 million and the imports SR 3583 million.
