Turkey's Foreign minister Ali Babacan arrived here today on a two-day visit to Yemen during which he will hand President Ali Abdullah Saleh a letter from his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul. Babacan will meet with Yemeni senior officials to discuss ways to promote bilateral cooperation. In October and during the fourth round of the Yemeni-Turkish Ministerial Committee, Turkey said it liked to buy liquefied natural gas from Yemen. The two sides approved measures to facilitate the entering of Yemeni and Turkish truck drivers into both countries. Turkish deputy prime minister, head of the Turkish side at the meeting Nazim Ekren expressed Turkey's readiness to exchange information on experiences of energy and renewable energy with Yemen.
