U.S. special envoy Richard Holbrooke met with Indian officials Monday for talks expected to focus on Afghanistan, and India and Pakistan relations, Associated Press reported. Holbrooke, President Barack Obama's envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, arrived in New Delhi on Sunday from Afghanistan. The U.S. embassy in New Delhi said Holbrooke will discuss «a variety of regional issues, including discussion on India's views on Afghanistan and regional security,» in his meetings Monday. Holbrooke did not speak to reporters after meetings with India's national security adviser and foreign secretary. He was set to meet Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee later Monday.
