On the sidelines of the meetings of the Saudi-Tunisian Business Council, ongoing in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, the Saudi side held working meetings with a number of Tunisian ministers and senior officials for discussions on bilateral cooperation in various fields, ways of developing it and supporting investment and trade partnership between the two countries. In this context, the Saud delegation, led by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Tuwaijri met today with the Tunisian Minister of Labor Selim Al-Talatli; Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Abdulsalam Mansour and other senior officials. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Al-Tuwaijri expressed satisfaction over the results of the meetings of Saudi-Tunisian Business Council. "The meetings provided an opportunity for the Saudi side to shed light on the economic development in the Kingdom, the different fields of investments and the features of the economy, which he believed were not negatively affected by the global financial crisis, thanks to its strong fundamentals and the solid programs and regulations", Al-Tuwaijri added. He said the Saudi Tunisian Business Council emphasized the importance of a sea route between the two countries to facilitate the flow of trade. Al-Tuwaijri concluded that the next meeting of the Saudi-Tunisian Business Council will be held in Riyadh in July 2009.
