Ankari, Minister of Higher Education, in which he extended his thanks to the King for his sponsorship of the laying foundation ceremony, stressing the special support and attention given to higher education institutions. In his speech, Dr. Al Ankari said, "Today, we meet here at the laying ceremony of foundation stones for a number of projects at King Saud University, which enjoys the honor of your sponsorship as do other universities in the Kingdom. No doubt, such continuous establishing of such projects not only shows your belief in the importance of higher education but also proves your keenness for its development and advancement". Then, KSU Director Dr. Al Othman gave a speech in which he thanked the King for his encouragement and support of education and science. In his speech, Dr. Al Othman said, "We, here at King Saud University, have rejoiced in your wise call for Arab reunion and unification. In this, every Arab and Muslim takes much pride". Dr. Al Othman also spoke of the KSU's endeavors to keep up with the King's development vision saying, "This is a historic day for KSU. A day which witnesses the establishment of strategic projects that will serve citizens as well as educational, research process and society at large. Beside the Riyadh Techno Valley, there is also the KSU Endowment Project which preaches a new concept of charity work". He also added "You will see a lot from this university and its employees which you will be proud of and that which will be recorded in the country's name".
