The President of Turkey Abdullah Gul and accompanying delegation met here today with Saudi businessmen, led by the chairman and members of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At the outset of the meeting, JCCI Secretary General Mostafa A. K. Sabry welcomed the Turkish President, pointing out the deep economic bilateral relations. Then, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry Mohammad A. Al-Fadhl expressed hope that the Presidential visit to the Saudi business community would boost and develop joint ventures. He underscored the alluring facilities offered by Saudi Arabia to investors, and viewed that they upgrade the relations between entrepreneurs in the two countries. Then, President Abdullah Gul delivered a speech stating that his current visit is reciprocal to the visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to turkey two years ago that contributed to driving relations largely forward under the continuous contacts between the two countries and the continuous coordination of positions. President Gul maintained that the strong relations between his country and Saudi Arabia have paved the way to a strategic economic partnership between businessmen to the best interest of both countries, stressing that Turkey and Saudi Arabia are linked with historical, social and cultural bonds.
