Turkish President Abdullah Gul and his accompanying delegation, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom, met with the Saudi businessmen in Riyadh today. At the outset of the meeting, Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers Dr. Fahd Al-Sultan delivered a speech in which he said that the current visit of the President of Turkey and the visit the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Turkey in 2007 marked a turning point in the development of mutual understanding and strengthening the coordination between the governmental and business sectors in both countries, leading to further development of economic relations, trade and investment. Dr. Al-Sultan noted that the volume of trade exchange between the two counties reached to $ 3.6 billion while volume of joint investments amounted to more than $ 75 billion in 2007. --More
