Prince Saud Al Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by Egyptian Foreign Minister left Cairo for Abu Dhabi after discussions were made on the Palestinian reconciliation efforts. Prince Saud, who was received by Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak, conveyed a message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Prince Saud attended the meeting held by President Mubarak as well as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the latest developments in the Egyptian-brokered talks on inner-Palestinian reconciliation. The meeting also discussed creating a unified Palestinian front as a lead-up to serious negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis. Reviving the peace process, opening crossings as well as Egyptian efforts on a sustainable ceasefire were also discussed. At Cairo International Airport, Prince Saud was seen off by Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Hisham Nazir.
