Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Yosif Alothaimeen opened here today the Gathering of the Social Partnership and Responsibility between the Public Sector and the Private Sector. The three-day gathering is organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs under the title "Our Society, Our Responsibility." In a speech on behalf of the organizing committee, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs for Welfare and Development A'wadh Alradadi said the gathering aims at forging a real partnership between the public and private sectors to boost the goals of sustainable development. Then, a number of speeches by private sector establishments were delivered highlighting the importance of the social role of the private sector in development. Afterwards, the Minister of Social Affairs delivered a speech in which he thanked the king for patronizing the gathering highlighting the king's support for social issues including social responsibility and partnership between the public and private sectors. The minister conveyed greetings of the king to all participants in the gathering. The minister highlighted the importance of social responsibility of the private sector in serving the society and the citizens. Then, the minister honored the sponsors of the gathering and toured the exhibition accompanying the gathering. The opening was attended by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, and other senior officials.
