up seminar will start on 9.00 am with opening speech by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Alsaoud, Dep. Minister for planning & development at the Ministry of Water and Electricity, then a presentation on "Scum Treatment" by Eng. Farees Salih Al-Qahtani, Director of Water in Asir Region. At 2.00 PM, Eng. Abdulaziz Rashid Al-Harbi, Director of Water in Tabouk Region will lecture on "Oil treatment in Sewage Plants." The third presentation will be on "Use of Cement in Sludge Treatment" by Eng. Mohammed Y. Khawajah at MOWE Riyadh. The last presentation of the workshop first day will be on Sludge Management by Mohammed A. Alghifari from Directorate of Water in Madinah Region. The second and last day of the seminar and workshop will begin with opening remarks by Eng. Amer Al- Rejaiba, Director General of Planning and at MOWE, then a keynote speech by Prof. Katsumi Moriyam, Kyushu Kyoritsu University, Japan themed Planning of sewage Development Towar Establishment of Sustainable Water Circulation System. The seminar will be followed at 10.00 AM by an Open discussion participated by Eng. Yarub Ameen Khayat, on The Role of the Central Government to promote to Develop Sewage Sector in the local governments; Human resources development in Sewage Sector by Takehiko Kawai; Introduction & Utilizing of Japanese Technology on Sewage by Dr. Takao Murakami. The event will be concluded by closing ceremony and speech by JICA rep. Tomizawa.
