Two people were killed after dynamite apparently intended for quarrying exploded in a house in the southern Philippines on Sunday. The powerful blast on Jolo Island also injured three others and damaged the house in the coastal township of Patikul, provincial police chief Julasirim Kasim said. «It doesn't appear to be related to terrorism,» Kasim told The Associated Press by telephone from the scene of the explosion, which he said was heard up to two miles (three kilometers) away.
