Saudi Pavilion at the 5th Cairo Book Fair organized here a lecture on development projects in Makkah, Madinah and the Hoy Sites. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Idris, a professor of architecture and the Under Secretary of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj Research, gave a lecture and presentation on the development projects undertaken by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to develop the surrounding areas of the Two Holy Mosques and The Holy Sites for the facilitation for pilgrims' performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals in ease. He shed lights on the great challenge facing Saudi Arabia with regard to the increasing numbers of pilgrims every year as the government developed and implemented a wide-range of gigantic developmental projects and expanded the area of the Two Holy Mosques, paving new roads for easy access to the Holy Mosques and the Holy sites, increasing the number of facilities and services in the surrounding areas. These included the development area surrounding Jabal Al-Rahmah, establishment of a hospital equipped with full services, as well as setting up of centers to guide the stranded pilgrims in addition to other uncountable services.
