EU welcomes unilaterally cease-fire

The European Union says it
welcomes Israel's unilateral cease-fire in the Gaza Strip
and calls on Hamas to refrain from attacks, AP reported.
EU External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner
says the cease-fire should allow for a resumption of
humanitarian aid to the region.
She says that Sunday's cease-fire ending 22 days of war
against Hamas should be followed by «the
withdrawal of all Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip.»
