Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), confirmed the keenness of his country to follow its political approach calling for joint Arab action to enhance security and stability in the region and guarantee confrontation to challenges facing the Arab world within a common conciliatory vision that safeguards the unity of ranks and guarantees the clearness and effectiveness of positions. In a statement to the Emirates News Agency upon arrival in Riyadh tonight to take part in the Extraordinary summit of the GCC countries called for by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, he said the UAE suggests that the pillars of joint Arab action and collective effort, rapprochement and reconciliation represent Arab's well-fortified castle. Emanating from this, UAE takes part in the GCC summit aiming at mobilizing efforts, unifying ranks and confronting challenges in one strong line. He said the UAE is looking forward to Kuwait's Arab economic, developmental and social summit to put an end to this tragedy through a collective and effective Arab work.
