A brutal cold front has enveloped much of the upper Midwest portion of the United States on Wednesday, with Minnesota and Michigan suffering temperatures as low as 40 degrees below zero, Fahrenheit. A 51-year old Minnesota man died last night after sleepwalking about 200 yards from his house, a sign of the vicious cold front. Several ski resorts have been closed for two straight days due to the dangerous wind chill, and schools have been closed as far south as Iowa. In New York and Boston, temperatures reached as low as 8 degrees, Fahrenheit. The cold front is expected to last beyond the weekend. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 30's, Fahrenheit, for Barack Obama's inauguration in Washington, D.C.
