Prince Sultan bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz, the General President of Youth Welfare, and Chairman of Arab and Saudi Football Federations, met at his residence here today the FIFA President Mr. Joseph S. Platter in the presence of Chairman of the Asian Football Federation Mr. Mohammad Hammam Al-Abdullah. Mr. Platter is visiting Oman to attend the semifinals and final of 19th GCC Soccer Cup currently held in Muscat, At beginning of the meeting, Prince Sultan bin Fahad lauded the efforts of Mr. Platter and Mr. Hammam in advancing world and Asian football sport. On his part, Mr. Platter praised the distinctive efforts exerted by Prince Sultan bin Fahad in promoting sport events in the Arab world in general and Saudi Arabia in particular. Prince Sultan bin Fahad stated that Mr. Platter understood the approach of the Saudi Football Federation toward developing football and its programs in the Asian continent through the concerned committees at the FIFA.
