The secretariat general of the Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed concern about the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and its rejection to the resolution 1860 issued by the security council. The MWL lauded the great efforts exerted by Prince Saud al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister and Head of the Arab ministerial delegation to the UN to end the aggression and open the openings for the entry of food materials and medical supplies. In a statement released here today MWL's secretary general Dr Abdullah al-Turki warned against the adverse impact of the Israeli policy on the regional peace and security, and deplored usage of internationally prohibited weapons by Israel for shelling the people of Gaza. Dr al-Turki urged the Security Council to work for the implementation of the resolution and to force Israel put an end to its aggression. He pointed out that the MWL has been extending relief assistance to the people of Gaza through the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO), an affiliate of the MWL.
