The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (NSCSA) will sponsor Offshore Arabia Conference & Exhibition 2009 themed Global Partner for Energy and Environment to be held in Dubai on January 11-13 under the auspices of the UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. NSCSA Director General Hamoud Al-Ajlan said the company's sponsorship of the conference reflects its commitment to contributing to the work aimed at developing the maritime transport sector, and continuously looking for better methods and regulations for environmental protection, through the support of specialized conferences and forums that contribute to providing optimum solutions for the growth of this sector and its development while maintaining the Environment. He pointed out that the conference seeks to raise awareness of environmental destruction, and how to manage the risks and difficulties resulting from climate change, especially in the Arabian Gulf region and to maintain the cleanliness of the sea through the working papers to be presented at the upcoming meeting. It is noteworthy that NSCSA chairs Regional Clean Sea Organization (RECSO) at its current session.
