Arab foreign ministers met at U.N. headquarters in New York on Monday to draft a resolution seeking an end to Israel's 10-day offensive in the Gaza Strip. Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations, Khalid Al Nafisee, represented the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting, where representatives are hoping to draft a resolution that can be approved by the Security Council. The Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday and to vote on the resolution, which will call for an end to “Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, an immediate and permanent ceasefire [between Israel and Hamas], ending the siege and opening the crossings between Gaza and Israel and also between Gaza and Egypt,” said Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki.
