Areesh, Egypt, January 05, SPA -- The medicines and medical supplies donated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Palestinians entered the Gaza Strip through Rafah border checkpoint today. “With the Grace of God, we managed to enter 12 tons of medicines into Gaza across the Egyptian side at Rafah border checkpoint where we heard explosion bangs and saw smoke mushrooms coming up near the checkpoint. But this will not dissuade us from continuing the relief work ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud," Dr Khaled Al-Habashi, Head of the Saudi Relief Medical Team said. Dr. Al-Habashi disclosed to Saudi Press Agency that the Saudi Field Team has managed to enter two other trucks carrying 13 tons of medical supplies and medicines that will be in Gaza midtown today, pointing out that the consignments that reached Al-Areesh today are undergoing preparation to be entered into Gaza tomorrow. He said that the medical evacuation plane is still in Al-Areesh airport waiting to transport any wounded who will be transported from Gaza to Egyptian Al Areesh, and then to Saudi Arabia.
