The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees in the Near East announced yesterday it had cancelled its distribution of aid in Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli operations in the Strip. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Cairo, (UNRWA) had to stop distributing food aid in Gaza except for the southern part as a direct result of ground attacks carried out by the Israeli Armed Forces in the Strip. The severe shortage of fuel caused more than 23 bakeries, 18 clinics as well as most electricity generators to stop operating.
