A wheat shipment, granted from the United Arab Emirates for Yemen, is expected to arrive in the al-Salif port later today, Saba reported. The shipment would be distributed to people under supervision of the committees of local authorities across the republic. Earlier, the ministerial committee entrusted with distributing the UAE wheat grant held a meeting that was chaired by Finance minister Noman al-Suhaibi. The meeting discussed arrangements for the distribution of the shipment to needy people, almost million, who receive assistance through the Social Development Fund. The rain-affected people in the eastern provinces of Hadramout and Mahara would be among those who will receive wheat assistance.
