At its 62nd regular session held here today and presided over by its Chairman Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Homaid, the Shoura Council approved a draft of memorandum of understanding in the area of defense between the Ministry of Defense and Aviation of Saudi Arabia and the Spanish Ministry of Defense. In a statement following the meeting, Secretary General of the Shoura Council Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Ghamdi stated that the Council voted by majority on the draft of memorandum of understanding after hearing a report by the Committee for Security Affairs concerning the draft and read out by Dr. Khalil Al Khalil, the head of the committee. The Council also approved the amended charter of the Organization of Islamic Conference.
