Floods hit six districts in South Kalimantan, on Wednesday, following incessant rains over the past few days, Antara reported. The six affected districts were Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS), Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST), Tanah Laut (Tala, Banjar and Tapin, Ariffin, a South Kalimantan provincial administration official said. More floods were expected to occur during a relatively long period as the present precipitation in South Kalimantan was quite high. In Hulu Sungai Tengah (HST) district, a number of subdistricts such as Labuan Amas Utara and Mentaas were inundated. The South Kalimantan governor had provided relief aid to help the flood victims.
