The Mauritanian ministry of foreign affairs condemned in a statement published today the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip reiterating Mauritania's strict adherence to peace as the only option for dealing with the Palestinian Cause. The statement emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Mauritania strongly condemns Israeli military attacks on city of Gaza. The statement urged Israel to halt immediately its aggression. It also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and called for collection of donations. Meanwhile, demonstrations continued in the streets of the capital - Nouakchott, condemning the massacre committed by the Israeli armed forces.
