The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development (NCWCD) has been selected for Chairmanship of the Bonn-based Standing Committee of Convention for Migratory Species Conservation for three years. In a statement, the NCWCD said the selection was finalized at the 9th Conference of the Convention's member states at the headquarters of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome, opened recently by Prince Albert II of Monaco. In said the Kingdom represented by the NCWCD's Delegate Mohammed bin Saud Al-Salim, the Advisor of International Cooperation, will also be the Deputy Chairman of the General Committee of the Conference.
