Tribal mediators who have been negotiating the release of three German hostages kidnapped in Yemen say they have been set free, Associated Press reported. Ahmed Ubad Sherif, one of the leading mediators, said they were released Friday and will arrive in Sana'a in about four to five hours. The mediator says the Germans are now at the house of the deputy governor of the Al-Dhala province in southern Yemen. A second tribal official who was also mediating says the kidnappers released the hostages after the government agreed to their conditions to release some tribesmen in Yemeni prisons.
