The preparatory committee for the Saudi-Qatari coordination council started here today its deliberations to prepare the agenda of the council's first session, due to be held under the chairmanship of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Council's Chairman. The Qatari side will be led by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari Crown Prince. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ahmad al-Salim, the undersecretary of the interior ministry, and head of the Saudi side at the preparatory meeting, highlighted the existing fostering Saudi-Qatari relations, and hoped that the meetings would meet the aspirations of the Saudi and Qatari leaderships. On his part, Seif al-Boeinein, the Qatari Assistant Foreign Minister and Head of the Qatari side at the meeting, lauded the existing strong Saudi-Qatari relations. It is worth mentioning that the Kingdom and Qatar agreed last lunar month of Rajab to establish the coordination council under the co-chairmanship of Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General, and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari Crown Prince. --more
