The 33rd Scout Cadets Center of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare (GPYW) to serve the pilgrims in Makkah ended yesterday its two-week long activities here for this year's Hajj. On this occasion, a closing ceremony was organized in which Mohammad Abdullah Al Dibasi, the Director General of GPYW youth activities and who is also the director of the Scout Cadets Center commended the support and attention given to the Scout Center by Prince Sultan bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth Welfare and his Deputy, Prince Nawaf Bin Faisal Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz. He also praised the follow-up of senior officials of GPYW, who contributed to the successful implementation of the Scout Center's multi-phased plans. In an address on the occasion, leader of the Scout Center Mohammed Noah Al Jumaan explained that the Scout Cadets have contributed in guiding as many as 26,480 pilgrims and participated in the distribution of about 18,000 bottles of cold water and a number of awareness brochures and religious books to pilgrims. Al Jumaan added that the demands on the use of serving carts provided by the Center for the aged and sick pilgrims amounted to 658 carts. At the end of the ceremony, participants were honored with Public Service Medals.
