On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King, received former Polish President Lech Walesa First World Prize in recognition of the King's efforts and initiatives in humanitarian and charitable fields, during a ceremony held in the coastal city of Gdansk in Poland. During the ceremony, the former President said that the prize has been awarded to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in recognition of his contribution to the humanitarian fields including dialogue between followers of religions, tolerance, peace and international cooperation as well as his various works in the charitable field. The prize aims to reward the leaders who promote understanding and cooperation among states. The International Committee responsible for the world prize "Lech Walesa Prize" includes the former Polish President; former Czech president Vaclav Havel; French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner and former Polish Foreign Minister Vladislav Bartozewski.
