British army explodes 4 grenades found in Belfast

British army engineers
safely exploded four homemade grenades discovered in a bag
in a hard-line Protestant part of Belfast, ap quoted sources of the Police
Service of Northern Ireland as saying Wednesday.
Members of the public discovered the four devices,
apparently abandoned, about 9 p.m. Tuesday in a bag near a
cyclocross course in the Donegall Road district of
south-central Belfast. Engineers used a robot to blow apart
the devices, causing no injuries.
