The Cabinet approved an agreement, signed in Berlin on 08/11/2007, between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federal Republic of Germany on the avoidance of double taxation for taxes on income and capital of air transport establishments and on compensation of workers of these establishments. The Cabinet approved that the Ministry of Labor shall compel employers of large establishments of more than 100 workers to pay their salaries through Saudi Arabian Riyal Interbank Express (SARIE), a check drawn on the account of the establishment at the bank at which the establishment has an account, ATMs or other means agreed upon by the employer and the Bank. The employers shall agree with their employees to choose the appropriate means to achieve the desired purpose. --More
