Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, November 25, SPA -- The number of pilgrims arriving in Almadinah Al-Munawarah reached 700993 on Tuesday, an increase of 5% compared with last year. An official statistical report said pilgrims departing Al-Madinah till today amounted to 450512 with 250381 lagging behind, an increase of 2% than last year. In terms of nationality, Indians were the most available in Hajj region now with 30576, followed by Pakistanis 26835 and Nigerians 22684. The report said 54 air flights have so far arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International airport carrying 13226 pilgrims while nearly 1143 buses transported 56995 pilgrims into Al-Madinah and 981 departures carrying 44985 pilgrims. Eighty eight percent of the capacity of hotels and 67 percent of furnished apartments were occupied, the report added. On health, the report said as many as 9627 pilgrims have reported to out-patient clinics and 185 cases were dealt with by the Madinah-based Saudi Arabian Red Crescent Association.
