British Foreign Secretary David Miliband welcomed today the two-day visit to Britain paid by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Saudi Foreign Minister. In a press statement following a meeting with Prince Saud Al-Faisal at the British Foreign Office, Miliband hailed the existing relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key partner of Britain in many projects and the Kingdom has considerable influence in the Middle East. Miliband also said that he discussed with Prince Saud Al-Faisal the latest developments in the Middle East, calling for a comprehensive peace settlement in the Middle East. He said that such settlement has become an essential need for the Palestinian and Israeli parties. Miliband praised the efforts exerted by the Saudi government to find a peaceful solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. He also hailed the Arab peace initiative.
