Chicago police said six of their officers were recovering Sunday from injuries suffered when two squad cars collided while responding to a call overnight, UPI reported. None of the officers suffered life-threatening injuries in the Saturday night crash, WBBM reported. The Chicago Tribune said the officers were en route to an address on the West Side where a man reportedly had a gun when the accident occurred. One officer suffered broken leg and another had a broken ankle, but everyone was to be treated and then released from the hospital fairly quickly, the Tribune reported.
