Muslim forces were cashing in on their disunity. Sheikh Abdamalik Mujahid, President of the Central Assembly of Jamiat Ahle Hadith in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who attended the conference, told The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that this conference is a very important event, adding that it aimed at promoting the preservation of Islamic creed as it was applied and practiced by the righteous ancestors as well as the link between the Salafi associations in the region. "It is also a platform for discussion on challenges facing the Islamic world in modern times." On his part, Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmed Usmani, Secretary-General of the Central Assembly of Jamiat Ahle Hadith in Saudi Arabia said the conference called for maintaining the correct creed and re-unifying Muslims. The Conference focuses on the need to preserve the principles of Islamic Law (Shariah); the importance of the doctrine of monotheism, and the importance of believing in Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) as the seal of the prophets. "It also addresses the invasion of secular thought on the Muslim community, as well as recognizes the need to maintain security and stability that Pakistan lacks at the moment."
