The Supreme Council for Petroleum and Mineral Affairs headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has decided on the nomination of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabian Oil Company " Saudi Aramco" to appoint Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh as President of the company effective from January 1st, 2009 in succession of Abdullah bin Saleh bin Juma'h when he retires at the end of this year upon his request following forty years of service including 14 years as the company's president, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi stated. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister pointed out that Eng. Khalid Al-Faleh has a wide experience in the company nearly thirty years including senior positions in the fields of oil and gas sector in the areas of exploration, production, refining and international operations as well as a member of the Board of Directors for nearly five years. He congratulated on this occasion Eng. Al-Faleh for this dear confidence bestowed upon him, wishing him all success in his new post as President of the company and Chief Executive Officer so that Saudi Aramco continues its activity and functions at the best way in achieving the aspirations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince. The minister expressed his thanks to and appreciation of Juma'h for his dedicated service in the petroleum industry in the Kingdom, wishing him all success and happiness.
