Le-Duc, France October 27, SPA -- Officials say an Italian military helicopter carrying up to eight people has crashed in northeastern France. No one aboard survived. Police and local officials say the helicopter, one of two on its way from France to Belgium, went down at about 4:30 p.m. (1430 GMT) Thursday in the eastern Meuse region between the towns of Lisles-en-Barrois and Vaubecourt. Alexandra Petit, spokeswoman for the Meuse region, says it remains unclear whether the aircraft carried seven or eight people. In Rome, Italian Air Force sergeant Emiliano Conte says the search and rescue helicopter, an HH3F, was conducting a training exercise over France and Belgium, according to a report of Associated Press.
