An Afghan official says that a suicide bomber wearing a police uniform has killed an American soldier and wounded six other people. Gov. Abdul Jabar Akbin of Baghlan province says the bomber struck inside a police compound Monday while Americans were meeting with Afghan officials. Associated Press quoted Akbin as saying that two other American troops and four Afghans were wounded in the attack, which happened in the provincial capital of Pul-e-Khumri.
