An SAS plane with more than 100 people on board made an emergency landing at a Swedish airport Friday after the cabin filled with smoke, AP quoted aviation officials as saying. The 97 passengers and six crew were evacuated through the slides after the Boeing 737 touched down safely at the Vasteras airport, SAS spokeswoman Monica Hultberg said. No one was injured, she said. Civil aviation spokesman Anders Stalhammar said the plane was on its way from Oslo, Norway, to Stockholm when passengers smelled smoke, and the pilot decided to bring the plane down in Vasteras, about 70 miles (110 kilometer) west of Stockholm. Both Stalhammar and Hultberg said it wasn't clear what caused the smoke. Hultberg said all the passengers were safe and SAS was looking for ways to transport them to Stockholm later Friday.
