Sharjah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, received at the Sharjah Consultative Council premises here today a delegation from the German parliament, including representatives of major political blocs and parties in the parliament. During the meeting which was held on the fringe of the opening session of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), they reviewed strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Germany. Sheikh Sultan briefed the visitors about the academic and scientific institutions in Sharjah and the support and care they receive from Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. They discussed bilateral relations and the strong ties between the Emirate of Sharjah and Germany and ways to boost those ties, particularly in the areas of legislation and parliamentary affairs. They also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM". The delegation got first hand information about the programmes of the SCC secretariat and its administrative works. They commended Sharjah for achieving great development in all fields. They said the visit will impact positively on the future of bilateral ties between Sharjah and Germany.
