Ministers of Culture of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States concluded here last night the 14 meeting. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting was led by Minister of Culture and Information Eyad Ameen Madani. Qatari Minister of Culture and Heritage Dr. Hamad Bin Abd Al-Aziz Al-Kawari, who chaired the meeting pointed out that the ministers endorsed a cultural strategy of the Gulf Cooperation Council in its final draft, which will be presented to GCC head of states. He also noted that this strategy keeps pace with developments in the cultural scene in the GCC States. Dr. Al-Kawari told a news briefing after the meeting that this strategy is the source of light, which can preserve the Arab and Islamic cultural identity, and identify mechanisms for future works. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
