GCC culture ministers held here today their 14th meeting. The Saudi delegation to the meeting is led by minister of culture and information Iyad bin Ameen Madani. Speaking on the occasion, GCC secretary general Abdurrahman al-Atiyyah underlined the importance of the attention being given by the GCC member states and the GCC secretariat general to the issue of the cultural strategy which is based on the values of lslam, Arabism and the geographical unity. He noted that the GCC member states do realize the role of culture in the process of the societies' development. Al-Atiyyah pointed out that the agenda of the meeting includes a number of important topics like the cultural activities and evaluation of the march of the joint cultural work in addition to the proposals of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
