Presided over by its chairman Sheikh Dr. Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid, the Shoura Council held its ordinary 47th session in Riyadh today. At the outset of the meeting, the members were briefed on the Shoura Council's participation in the International Parliamentary Union's meetings recently held in Geneva as well as its participation in the Asian Parliamentary Union's specialized committees' meetings recently held in Tehran, Iran. They also reviewed a report on an executive program bill between the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kingdom and the Ministry of Higher Education of Tunisia in the field of higher education, and scientific and technological research. Also discussed were two reports on the implementation of programs and projects of the 7th and 8th development plans.
