Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia, October 14, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received at Taiba palace in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah tonight Ulema, Sheikhs, senior civil and military officials and a group of citizens who came to greet him. At the outset of the meeting, some verses of the holy Quran were recited and interpreted. Then Khalid Hamza Ghoth, member of Al-Madinah Region's Council, gave a speech on behalf of the people of the region. He suggested that the visit by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the city reflects the great coherence between the country's leadership and its people. Ghoth also gave an account on the development projects in Madinah during the current era of the monarch, citing the strategic storage, prophet Mohammed's mosque expansion works, establishment of economic knowledge city, expansion of Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz regional airport to become an international one, purification of artisan water, establishment of grain silos and flour mills as well as the strategic development project for 1450 H. The event was attended by Prince Mite'b bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs; Prince Abdul-Ilah bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the King; Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Chief of General Intelligence; Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region, other princes, ministers, and senior government officials. They guests and attendees had dinner with the monarch.
