The most expensive camel in the world was sold in the United Arab Emirates for 6 million dirhams (1.6 million dollars), the Abu Dhabi International Exhibition for Hunting and Equestrian (ADIHEX) announced Thursday according to DPA. The camel was bought by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Crown Prince of Dubai, in an auction held late Wednesday, ADIHEX said. More than 40 camels were sold during the auction, bringing in around 10 million dirhams (2.7 million dollars). The four-day ADIHEX, due to wrap up on Saturday, aims at highlighting the culture and heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
